Welcome
The LSE Alumni Association of Brazil was founded in June 2006. The launch events were held in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo in June with the encouragement of Rafael Alves de Almeida (LLM International Business Law 2003/04), Dr. Aristides Inacio Ferreira Marques (Ph.D in Regional Planning 1986) and some other few alumni.
Both launch events were organized in the modern premises of the British Council which has given kind support to the development of our association.
The aim of the LSE Brazilian Alumni Association Group is to enrich the personal and professional lives of its members through intellectual-stimulating events, networking activities and social interaction.
Since 2006 we have actively participated with the British Alumni Association in Brazil which comprises all the alumni from British universities who live in Brazil, and hence we have also built strong connections with the British Council, the British Chamber of Commerce, and other alumni associations such as the Columbia University Alumni of Brazil, the Harvard University Club of Brazil and the MIT Alumni Association of Brazil.
Some events have been organized: dinners with leading political, economic guests speakers, speaking engagements by non-academic distinguished alumni, and special informal get-togethers in restaurants and pubs from time to time.
 Gatherings of alumni and new students and joint events with other alumni associations were held in Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.
We hope this to serve as a channel to establish a strong link between the LSE and its alumni and potential applicants.
We invite you to join us and become more involved in our activities which operates on a voluntary basis. The success of our Alumni Association is achieved primarily through the outstanding work of our volunteer members.
Further events are currently being planned. We will have many opportunities to network among LSE alumni and we hope to meet you soon at one of our events.
