Alumni Association

About the Alumni Association

The association was established in 2005 as the official voice of LSE's global alumni community, which comprises over 100,000 in over 190 countries.

Its primary work includes supporting the lifelong alumni programme run by the Alumni Relations team, developing and supporting the network of international and special interest alumni groups, and representing the voice of the alumni community within the School.

The association's full objectives are set out in its constitution, which was officially approved by LSE Council in 2008.

How the Alumni Association works

The association is steered by an Executive Committee, which comprises: the Alumni Association chair; two vice chairs, representing international and special interest groups; and the chairs of each of its six committees.

Alumni Association Leadership Forum

The committees are elected by the biennial Alumni Association Leadership Forum, which brings together alumni group leaders and Alumni Association committee members for a two-day conference at LSE. The next forum will take place on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 September 2011.

Annual Alumni Group Leaders' Survey
Each year the Alumni Association asks its group leaders to complete the Annual Alumni Group Leaders' Survey. The survey forms the basis of the Establishment, Recognition and Obligations Committee's report at the Leadership Forum and all groups are required to complete it by Friday 1 July 2011.
