LSE Annual Fund: Making a Difference
The LSE Annual Fund raises unrestricted gifts to support projects that would otherwise not receive financial backing.

Every year the Annual Fund makes a real difference to life at the School. Through donations from alumni, parents, governors, staff and friends of LSE, the Annual Fund is able to have a direct impact on current and prospective students in need, public policy, availability of extra-curricular activities and the development of campus. All of which helps to maintain LSE's global reputation.

This year, Annual Fund donations were allocated to support 6 key priorities within the School:

  • Campus Facilities
  • Departmental Initiative
  • Research and Training
  • The Students' Union
  • Student Support
  • Events

You can now view an online version of the LSE Annual Fund Report to Donors 2008-09.

Matched Funding
Until the end of July 2011, your gift is worth even more to LSE.  The UK Government has introduced a Matched Funding Scheme to encourage the philanthropic support of Higher Education in England. Under the terms of the scheme, every donation to the LSE Annual Fund will be matched on a 3:1 basis, meaning for every £3 you donate, LSE will receive another £1 from the UK Government!
