Group Leaders Information: pre-departure events
LSE pre-departure events , are now an annual highlight in the alumni summer calendar. They are designed to give overseas students about to start a studying at the School an opportunity to meet each other and to meet with alumni and current students prior to arriving at the School. It is a perfect opportunity to learn more about what studying at LSE and living in London is really like. They also offer your group an excellent way to engage future alumni before they even set foot in London, and provide you with an opportunity to involve your younger alumni, whose recent experience of studying at the School is of most direct value to offer holders.
Previous pre-departure events Funding from LSE To facilitate the success of these events, a contribution toward the costs you incur is made available by the Student Recruitment Office (SRO) and the Alumni Association (AA). This contribution is not intended to cover all of your expenses. The amount of funding you receive is dependent on the number of offer holders in your country/locality and the total number of events taking place around the world.
The deadline to apply for funding was Friday 13 April 2012 and applications have now closed. Thanks to all groups who applied for funding, and please note the following important points:
