New Year's honours list 2012 Our congratulations go to the 14 LSE alumni who have been recognised in the New Year's honours list 2012. As well as a prestigious recognition of their achievements since leaving LSE those listed are an inspiration to other alumni and students who are studying at the School. More. LSE academic receives CBE Professor Eileen Munro has received a CBE in the New Year’s honours list for her services to children and families. In 2010 Professor Munro, of LSE’s Department of Social Policy, was commissioned by the Government to conduct a review of official child protection policy and practice and most of the recommendations in her report, published in July 2011, are now being implemented.
