James' Paris Marathon bid for the Annual Fund
After months of training and hard work, on 11 April 2010, James Driscoll, LSE Donations and Finance Administrator, completed the Paris Marathon in 3hrs 28mins raising £3,462 for the Annual Fund. Having set himself a target of 3hrs 30mins for his first ever marathon we are delighted that he managed to break it. Thank you to all of you who supported James, we hope this is the first of many marathons that James will run and wish him luck in running future marathons.

The Annual Fund supports a number of exciting and important projects and initiatives across the School to the benefit of our students, academics and wider community. Since joining the School in August 2009, James has seen first-hand the impact unrestricted giving through the Annual Fund has on campus and student life.

It's not too late to sponsor James and increase the amount that he's raised for the Annual Fund.

James says: 'Thanks to everyone who supported me in running the Paris Marathon, we've raised a great amount but hopefully we'll still get some more over the coming weeks. Thanks also for all of your kind words of support. I'm hoping to run the Edinburgh Marathon next time, it's all down hill so I'm hoping to break the 3 hour barrier.'
