Roy McEwan BSc Economics 1973
Chief Executive, Scottish Chamber Orchestra. OBE for services to Music.

Dr Hugh Rawlings PhD Industrial Relations 1977
Director, Department of the First Minister and Cabinet, Welsh Assembly Government. Order of Bath Companion.

Stephen Rumsey BSc Economics 1972
OBE for services to Nature Conservation.

John Shave BSc (Econ) 1962
MBE for services to Neighbourhood Watch in Dorset.

Charles Woodd Diploma in Social Policy and Administration 1972
Team Leader, Community Development Team, Community Action Division, Department for Communities and Local Government. OBE.

Also honoured was Professor Mervyn King, Governor of the Bank of England, who received a knighthood. He was formerly Professor of Economics at LSE and founded the LSE Financial Markets Group.
