Message from the Chair of the LSE Alumni Association |
As Michaelmas term draws to a close at LSE, I wanted to share my thoughts on my first
term as Chair of the LSE Alumni Association.
I attended September’s Leadership Forum, where I had the chance to meet, network
and talk with so many of you and to learn first hand about the great work that
you’re doing – running our alumni groups, participating in our Executive
Committee and its Subcommittees. I started meeting alumni during my overseas
travels including an alumni networking breakfast in Dubai for
alumni attending the International Bar
Association Annual Conference. Also, I
would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to give my heartfelt thanks
to our immediate past LSE Alumni Association Chair, George Davidson and the Vice
Chairs, Executive Committee and Subcommittee members who served with him, for
his superb direction and commitment.
George will be a very hard act to follow
but we should be determined to build a monument to his good work on the solid
foundations that George and the ODAR team have put in place.
I look
forward to working with you and to our success. Remember, although the LSE may
be a School in London, its reputation and the achievements of its alumni
globally are second to none. So when you think of our alma mater, think: “London
School, World Class!”
